Product Name:Sodium isoamyl xanthate (siax)
Number:B1-06
Molecular formula:(CH3)2CHCH2CH2OCSSNa
Structural form:
Properties:
Yellow powder/granules with pungent odor, soluble in water.
Usage:
Sodium isopropyl xanthate is a strong collector primarily used in the flotation of non-ferrous metal minerals where high collecting power is required but selectivity is not necessary. For example, it serves as an excellent collector for the flotation of oxidized sulfide ores, oxidized copper ores, and oxidized lead ores (after sulfidation with sodium sulfide or sodium hydrosulfide). It also yields good separation results for copper-nickel sulfide ores and gold-bearing pyrite.
